Happening 51
WHAT IS HAPPENING?
HAPPENING is a program designed for high school youth that renews the church through the holy spirit. The weekend gathering lets participants see the the love of Jesus Christ as shown through the ministries and sacraments of both peers and adults. The worldwide program, held in our diocese at Chanco on the James, is a religious pilgrimage held annually both in the fall and in the spring. The retreat is put together for youth in grades 10, 11, and 12. If you're in grades 6 through 9, take a look at New Beginnings. Click here for directions to Blackstone & Chanco on the James. WHO LEADS HAPPENING?
Happening is led by youth and overseen by adults that have previously participated in a Happening. Once you have been happened, you are invited to share your experience at the next Happening.
We will all be praying for the rector and the Happening team as they plan another fabulous weekend. If you don't know what a rector at Happening is or does, then you need to come and find out!
Who is going to Happening #51 ?? Please email us to request a list of who is going to any Happening. We are glad to provide that list. happening@cox.net
WHEN CAN I GO TO HAPPENING? The next Happening to be held in the diocese of Southern Virginia is Happening #51, which will be held March 16 - 18, 2007. Registration for #51 will begin once the school year begins, and will run until February 12th. If you wish to attend Happening #51, make sure to get in your application early!
