For
those of you who haven't been to a EYC retreat yet, a lot of
behind-the-scenes planning goes on months before the first song we
sing. The way for people in the diocese to help get things ready
for October Weekend and Blackstone is the Youth Leadership Training Event. |
| The Youth Leadership Training Event (formally called Youth Senate), or yLTE (pronounced why-light), is a planning and preparation time for the officers of the convocations in the Diocese. If you are interested in helping at one of the future yLTE sessions, please read below to some of the suggestions so that you can help us prepare for our retreats and events. |

What makes yLTE so important is that the day-long session on how to be a good leader, both in and out of retreats, is instructed by fellow youth. The Leadership Training Team is a group of small group leaders who come together weeks in advance to plan and execute the yLTE day. They help those small group leaders, both new and old, how to become a good leader. |
| To be eligible to come, you must have been to at least one previous diocesan retreat, and if your church has an active convocation, you must be recommended by them to attend. If your church does not, then the church will choose a number of participants that they feel are read to help. At least one adult sponsor per convocation is required. Please include one adult sponsor's address and phone number with your groups registration form, and $5 per person. |
